ในผู้ที่มีหน้าท้องหย่อนยาน มีผิวหนังหน้าท้องเหลือมากหรือแตกลาย เนื่องจากการมีบุตรหรือ การลดความอ้วน ทั้งนี้อาจมีไขมันหน้าท้องร่วมด้วยหรือไม่ก็ตาม สามารถแก้ไขให้หน้าท้องตึงแก้ปัญหาท้องลายได้ โดยการตัดแต่งผิวหนังหน้าท้องที่มีมากเกิน และเย็บซ่อมแซมผนังหน้าท้องภายในที่หย่อนยาน ในรายที่หย่อนยานมากอาจมีการย้ายสะดือให้อยู่ในตำแหน่งที่ถูกต้องสวยงาม การผ่าตัดใช้เวลาประมาณ  2-3 ชั่วโมง และอาจทำร่วมกับการทำผ่าตัดอื่น เช่น ดูดไขมัน หรือ ทำหมัน

Some pain and swelling is likely to be experienced post-operation, for which prescription pain medication can be used. The patient is advised to rest for a few days to minimize discomfort. Some scarring is inevitable, but scars will fade over time, and are in areas of the body normally covered by clothing including swimwear.
